Mr. N. L. Grimm of the Pirie Chamber of Commerce says the Minister for Railways misreads the Ellen street rail line issue. The chamber urges the real member and the council to pursue the matter with full support and co operation. The chamber is communicating with the council about the direction to take.

Day to day light times and temperatures across Adelaide Perth Sydney Melbourne Hobart. Includes yesterday today and tomorrow readings with highs of mid 60s to 70s and lows around 40s. Forecast calls for fine conditions and a cold night with highland frosts followed by a mild day with variable winds.
Pirie could gain a sporting centre operated by a coordinating council, with health officer Dr. G Viner Smith briefing over 200 at the Father and Son dinner. He cited high immunisation rates, diphtheria control, and urged measures for safe meat, pasteurisation, and sewer improvements to prevent epidemics.
