Details from Pittsburg report reveal many wounded with bullets and knives after Klansmen attacked crowds at Carnegie. A large cross was set ablaze, fires lit the hill, and women and children fainted as the clash spread to nearby streets. Police and citizens also suffered injuries.
LONDON reports increasing unrest in Ireland with guerrilla activity in the west and a dawn rifle and machine gun attack in Dublin. National troops patrol streets on bicycles as Fisheries Minister Lynch and candidate James Cowley are mobbed in Stenaw Kerry. shots wound a youth. Vehicle damage reported near Aghkaager in Conpaueht.
Adelaide notes an adjournment in the House of Assembly for half an hour as tribute to the late Mr John Lewis. Serious brutality allegations against guards at the Yataia Labor Prison are discussed with a report to be tabled. some guards may be dismissed. Sir Henry Barwell and Mr Gunn honor Lewis’s long service, calling him a statesman with courage and firm resolve. the motion to suspend passes.

Sarah Jane Wirth wife of Phillip Wirth, circus proprietor, applied for permanent alimony after a divorce petition based on her claim her husband’s annual income from his estate was £10,000. He allegedly supported Maude Willis and seven of her children, while he left for America last April. The case, deferred for a registrar's report, involves investigation of Wirth's means. In Melbourne, Whistler was shot at home by intruders seeking his wife, with authorities yet to arrest a suspect.

A TOCOr car failed to respond and was pushed 40 yards by a 10 o'clock train from Henley Beach toward Adelaide opposite the Congregation Church. Mr and Mrs A Northey of Kirkcaldy witnessed the incident as they left a church meeting and escaped the vehicle before impact. The car sustained three wheels twisted and the bonnet detached with engine damage.
