A London report says Berlin currency talks are to be held soon with Marshal Stalin and Western envoys over a four powst basin. A French official spokesman called the development hopeful, noting earlier silence on the matter.
Two cyclists were injured in separate Pike collisions. Desmond Parr, 84, was knocked down on Mary-Bhe street by a car driven by Clifford Williams of Risdon Park and admitted with a broken leg at Pirie Hospital. Harry Evans of Solomontown sustained severe facial abrasions and a shoulder injury after colliding with a second cyclist. he was taken to Pirie Hospital's surgical ward. The motorcyclist escaped with a shaken appearance.
Plans by Pirie Poultry Bird and Ken sel Chile to extend activities after a recent record show aim to establish a major agricultural show in two years. A public meeting called by Mayor Middleton will organise classes and events, with sub committees forming a governing council. A motor vehicle owned by Mr van Easton, marine store dealer of Ames street Ellendale, crashed into the Verandas blind and tore down part of a window at Mr D J Jones electrical showroom in Ellen street last night. Timber was used to cover the hole in the window.
