Wife of Richard Nance, mother of 11, widow 14 years, survived by children Thomas Allen Reginald Hampton J Parker M Gray Thelma Nance and Mrs Major HJ Smith. Obsequies held in Pirie with Salvation Army corps and Rev D W Annear officiating. pallbearers listed.
At a Pirie Local Board of Health meeting on Monday night health officer Dr. G Viner Smith said an infant aged nearly two died of diphtheria while awaiting immunisation. Swabs were taken from contacts, a carrier was found and isolated during the current campaign.
