KF Hocking of Sunnyside Wallaroo narrowly escaped death when a revolver he was being shown discharged, lodging a bullet in his right shoulder blade. He drove to Wallaroo Hospital, then home, examined himself, and returned. An X ray located the bullet, which was removed. he made satisfactory progress in hospital.
The Barrier District confirms a new Federal president succeeding G Gough who held the office from 1921 to 1928. A hospital employee underwent a tonsil operation yesterday and was reported comfortable. Individuals named include A Rodgers of Senate pad, F J Uren of International Harvester, and Mrs C Taylor of Adelaide visiting Pirie.
