At 4 a.m. on Ballarat Road near Bacenus Marsh a truck crash left four injured and the vehicle wrecked. Driver John Broomer of Warracknaheal was thrown clear while passengers John Tarrant and Miss Lorna Gowers suffered serious injuries and Miss Edna Willsher received minor bruises. All were admitted to hospital. The accident is thought caused by steering failure.
