A donation of £1 1s 0d from Mr. E H D Basel raises the fund total to £231 8s 2d. The group estimates about £390 more is needed to send a Pirie boy on an overseas tour with the State contingent early next year.

In the House of Assembly Mr Davis questioned the Minister about a new Risdon Park school. Pattinson said cost estimates were being prepared before submission to the Public Works Committee and could not yet be referred. The minister promised to inform the Pirie member when referred and noted the delay lies outside his department.
