Francis Bernard W. Teecord an insurance agent of Yatala faced a Port Adelaide court after a tense confrontation on the Alberton platform over a missing ticket. The case centered on alleged obstruction and hostile language toward railway staff. He admitted to resisting removal but claimed officers overreacted. Magistrate Halcombe fined him £3 with £1 costs, default seven days' imprisonment.
The Le Fevre’s Peninsula Sub Branch Assila will hold a meeting at the Sema Tow Hall upstairs on Thursday 25th May. Election of officers and several important local matters will be discussed with the State Secretary and State Board members from Austral Gardens in attendance.
Mr Frank Condon of the Federated Millers and Mill Employees Union cites employer claims that wage cuts will lower cost of living, noting a 6d weekly wage reduction in April and a 5d per ton bread price rise by the Millowners' Association, illustrating growing worker dissatisfaction with rising profits and prices.

In Port Adelaide Police Court, several railway by law offenders were charged. Walter G Gear of Stamford Street Parkside paid 3 pounds with 1 pound costs or three days in jail for traveling Semaphore to Glanville on April 28 without fare. John Longstaff of Welland Avenue Welland forfeited 5 pounds 1 shilling with three days’ imprisonment after leaving a moving train at Cheltenham. George R Stuart of William Street Alberton fined 2 pounds 1 shilling with costs for using an out of date ticket between Adelaide and Alberton. Thelma Hancock of Campbell Road Parkside ordered to forfeit 5 shillings with costs after travelling Exeter to Semaphore on April 23 without fare.
A new Zeindgarten hall at the Central Methodist Mission in Port Adelaide was opened to honor forty one men who served in the Great War. Five sacrificed their lives. The ceremony featured Rev Brasher, Rev Stanley, and Mr Sammy Lunn, with funds largely raised by The Methodist Sunday School. The room will host children with a Mothers lesson as the new space is dedicated to remembrance and education.
Two Adelaide drivers faced City Inspector JW James charges in Adelaide Police Court before Mr GW Hatcombe S M for exceeding weight limits under the Width of Tyres Act. Alfred Ther of Liverpool Street Adelaide fined 16 shillings with 2 13/6 costs and seven days imprisonment. Albert Roads of New Street Queenstown fined 10 shillings with 2 1/ costs and seven days imprisonment. Teesdale Smith prosecuted for the Copperation in both cases.
