Andrew Uinnkett, 23, of Rosenacer, appeared at Port Adelaide Police Court before Mr G W Halcombe S M. He received a £1 fine with 15s costs or seven days imprisonment for drunkenness and resisting Constable L Leal during arrest near the market on Friday night. He said his mind was blank. Tar on fire at Port Adelaide yard incident
Shortly before four on Tuesday afternoon a small quantity of tar caught fire in a tank at the Port Adelaide Corporation yards on Nile Street. The tank was being dismantled by an oxyacetylene process and sparks ignited tar in the bottom. Pure Adelaide Fire Brigade extinguished the flames.

Aged Port Adelaide Fisherman Enoch Polk Dies at 77
A Port Adelaide fisher Mr Enoch Polk aged 77 was found dead in bed at Nile Street Port Adelaide. He formerly worked at Glenelg and retired about a year ago. Polk saved crew members from the Pareora disaster near the Althorpes on September 17 1919 and received a bronze medal for the action.

Stanley J. Longrigg died at Adelaide Hospital on May 2 at age 85. A Liverpool emigrant about 30 years ago he worked as a wharf clerk and shipping office staff for Lamh and Co Sydney Elder Smith Co Muecke Co James Belt and Co and Melbourne Steamship Co before illness ended his port service. He had no known Australia based relatives though he had many friends in Port Adelaide. Remains were interred at Cheltenham Cemetery on Friday.
