Stowaway Kirwan Fined After Melbourne Steamer Scene
Patrick Joseph Kirwan, formerly of Port Adelaide, faced Port Adelaide Police Court on charges under the Merchant Shipping Act. He admitted hiding aboard the British steamer Hurunui in Melbourne on March 16 and taking passage without consent, found sleeping on hides in the forecastle after departure.
