Taking Something for Nothing at Port Adelaide Court

A 14 year old boy faced charges at Port Adelaide Juvenile Court for stealing an overcoat, a gold ring, and 25 in money from Allan Dale on the ketch One and All. The court ordered commitment to the Brooklyn Park Reformatory until age 18. Dale testified the coat and money vanished after a late evening aboard the wheat steamer alongside Ocean Steamers Wharf.

Port Adelaide Council Deliberates on Health and Infrastructure

Port Adelaide City Council met with Mayor J. Sweeney and Aldermen. the health officer reported infectious diseases including enteric measles and phthisis, typhoid imported from Port Pirie, and a Colombo measles case. The meeting discussed street cleaning, track removal on Port Road, coroner procedures, a new by law for St Vincent and Commercial roads, and council visits by Mr Baker and others in support of the Workers' Education League.

Objectionable Police Stretcher

The Port Adelaide branch of the Australian Natives Association held its fortnightly meeting in Dale Street hall on Tuesday March 13. President Mr W Parham chaired with vice-president Mr H Crichton past president Mr L Carson and committee in attendance. Correspondence focused on routine association matters.
