Sad state of boy thief at Port Adelaide Juvenile Court

Volunteer Bureau And Police Depot Reconstruction Nears Completion
Work to reconstruct the old timber mills shed near No 2 Quay to shelter volunteers and provide pickup space is nearly finished. The Harbors Board removed the shed side near No 1 Quay to widen road space and straighten Fussell Street. Police are now housed on bureau ground with preparations to shelter them in winter as tents prove inadequate.

A Royal S A Yacht Squadron regatta staged a cruiser motorboat race from the Outer Harbor Wharf with Utrama and Gretka (M L Mitchell) leading. Utrama carried a 6 min 5 sec handicap, Gretka 0, Awahandra (R Le Tenpler) placed third, and Tritons and Beth faced engine trouble or did not finish. At Largs Bay the Largs Dinghy Club held two races with Swindler and Thistle among the few starters. cadet events featured Eva May and Ivy Weed dodging, Sunflower leading in the second leg with Eve May in pursuit.

Tsuyoshi Yamakawa a fireman on the Kyokkoh Maru died at Adelaide Hospital after entering a boiler cleaned Monday March 11 to recover a glove his comrade Nakasaichi Ikeyama had lent him. Ikeyama died the same evening.
