The Yatala Methodist Band of Hope Society held a Fortnightly meeting at the church near Alberton Station on March 14. President R F Hospner chaired. A. Keeling spoke on the danger of intoxicating drink. A programme featured recitations, songs, duets, a reading, and a dialogue. Farewell remarks were given to A Grad and Keith Grad who are leaving for the West Coast.

Wharf Fatality Claims Lives at Coal Wharf
George Rebbeck a 30 year old married man of Rosewater died after a fall from an overhead tramway while unloading a collier at Howard Smith Company's Coal Wharf McLaren Parade. He died in Adelaide Hospital from fracture of the skull and spinal cord. An inquest in the Adelaide Police Court returned a verdict of accidental death.
