Port Adelaide Tennis Club Wins Premiership in Close Season Finale
The Port Adelaide Methodist Tennis Club called Church Tennis Association completed its 1918-4 season by defeating Briars on the Prospect North Courts to clinch the premiership. After 14 matches the club won 13 and lost 1, finishing 99 games to 59 with 15 sets to 9. The men led and the women contributed by winning four of the six singles in the finale. The club now earns the right to challenge the B Grade holders in Plunders Street Baptist for the A Grade title on Parkside Courts tomorrow afternoon.
