Rations Deceived For Port Adelaide Man
Harry Saunders of Port Adelaide was fined £3 with £14/ costs or 10 days in jail after obtaining rations on June 23 by false pretences. Prosecutor said Saunders received £7/11/8 on June 16 under an accident insurance, but failed to reveal this when seeking a relief order for £1/10/- at the Unemployment Relief Council office.

On June 17 1933 fair weather saw 15 owners sending 123 birds. The winning bird owned by G Purvis Beve WA 32 1358 flew 169 miles 110 yards in 4 hours 31 minutes 34 seconds at 1094 yards per minute. Second place went to H Hawke WSA 32 2157 covering 169 miles 18 yards in 4h 32m 52s at 1002 yards per minute. Third was A Hefford WSA 32 860 168 miles 1 298 yards in 4h 33m mine at secs at 1086 yards per minute.
