Motoring Accident Involving Mrs Westley in Semaphore
Port Adelaide police report Walter James Waldie of Ellen Street Semaphore collided with Mrs Westley of Albert Street Semaphore around 7 10 pm Wednesday while driving along Military Road toward Hart Street. Waldie’s car, following a car driven by Mr Pope of Starr Street Eaton, turned from Company Street into Albert Street. Mrs Westley appeared to be crossing. She was taken to Port Adelaide Casualty with a laceration of the left leg and head and leg abrasions, treated and discharged home.

At Port Adelaide Police Court Samuel Kraft was fined 13 with three days imprisonment for drunkenness in Divert Street. Inspector Noblet said Kraft, an inebriate on license since December 23, asked for revocation. He threatened to go to Melbourne to spare his ailing mother and the case was adjourned a week to allow him to leave the State.

George Greengrass second cook on the steamer Dilkera suffered a serious accident Thursday morning when he slipped on deck while near the galley. He struck his head on a hand ramp and was found unconscious by a fireman. The vessel proceeded to Adelaide where a doctor advised removal to hospital for treatment of internal and probable injuries.

Accident at Largs Bay Catastrophe Strikes Child at Carnival
While watching a procession at the Largs Bay Children’s Carnival on Monday near noon, seven year old Ronald Hales, Rosewater, was struck by a tramways motor bus near the jetty. He fractured the base of his skull and sustained facial abrasions. He was taken to Port Adelaide Casualty Hospital and then to the Adelaide Children's Hospital.

Displacement of sugar stacks at Colonial Sugar Refinery
A bulge has developed in the western wall of Colonial Sugar Refinery Compang's new raw sugar store at Glanville, built of steel and galvanised iron about 60 feet high. The bulge extends roughly 90 feet from the wall, likely due to ground conditions. Bagged sugar stacked to about 40 feet inside the building is believed to have caused subsidence that pushes the wall outward. Workers remove bags to reach the affected area.
