Man charged with unlawfully obtaining liquor at Federal Hotel
At Port Judelaida Police Court on Tuesday John Leslie faced a charge, based on Inspector Noblet’s information, of unlawfully obtaining liquor in licensed premises during prohibited hours at Semaphore on November 24. The defendant pleaded not guilty. Constable Hansberry testified seeing him at the billiard saloon and with a bottle of beer protruding from his trousers. The witness and licensee Mr Shaughnessy questioned him. the defendant admitted going to the pictures and obtaining the drinks. He was fined £1, reduced to £1 with costs, and imprisonment terms noted.

Seaman Punches Door Glass at Port Adelaide Hotel
