Robert Sheehan a married guard on the Port Adelaide railway line fell from a train between Woodville and Kilkenny. He died next morning after being taken to Adelaide Hospital. inquest returned accidental death.
The late Mr. Jane Maddigan died at Port Adelaide aged 75. Born in County Clare Ireland he arrived in 1875 and joined the Port Adelaide Working Men's Association. A staunch unionist he worked for the Port Adelaide Corporation in recent years. Survived by a large family including Mrs McNel and Miss D Maddigan Melbourne, Violet Maddigan Port Adelaide, and Messrs Michael John George and James Maddigan Port Adelaide.
A blaze on Dale Street Port Adelaide was reported and the brigade extinguished the outbreak before extensive damage. Only a few palings and cases were destroyed.
James Ford of Orge Street Alberton, an employee of the Port Adelaide Corporation, was knocked down by a motor cycle on Thursday afternoon near the Town Hall. He declined hospital and returned to his home after the City Engineer urged him to seek treatment.

A three horse trolley loaded with ammonia tubes exploded near McLaren Parade just before 1 p.m. The tube burst the cap, injuring a horse and causing gas fumes to affect workers and police. Driver was away for lunch. officers assisted after the incident damaged several premises and workers suffered shock and eye irritation.
