At the August meeting in Port Adelaide a special rate of 1 per pound was declared to fund tram system works. A ratepayer meeting on August 19, 1914 approved the rate, now payable at the Rates Collector’s Office Port Adelaide.
A public meeting will be held at Institute Hall Wood Ville on Monday next the Stet August 1914 at 8 30 p.m. in connection with the Mayor of Adelaide Patriotic Fund and the British Red Cross Society. Henry Slade Chairman. Idville August 34 1914.
