Varying Gas Charges Prompt Council Letter Reply
A letter from G M ODea of the LA Gas Company was read by Port Adelaide Council in reply to a request for why Port Adelaide gas appeared clearer than Adelaide gas. The secretary noted several reasons and reminded the council of a 1916 public lighting contract with 41 years remaining, carried out at a heavy cost. Also read was a letter from Dr J L Price MP, on leave due to illness, describing his holiday at Devenborough Down Station and expected return in about two weeks.
