Man Fined For Riding On Fussell Street Footpath
John Drummon appeared in Port Adelaide Police Court facing a by law breach for riding 200 yards on Fussell Street footpath on August 2. On Monday Mr Justice Gordon ruled in William Johnson Rosewater driver’s appeal against a Port Adelaide Police Court decision. Johnson was fined 8 and costs 6 4/6 for carrying a jinker with 7 cwt 2 qrs excess weight under the Width of Tires Act 1867. The court held the jinker may be weighed as part of a two-vehicle load, and dismissed the appeal with costs 33. Johnson may state a case for the Full Court within a month.

Unregistered dogs owners fined in Port Adelaide court
In Port Adelaide Police Court before Mr G W Halcombe three dog owners were fined for failing to register dogs under by laws. Leslie Arnson admitted an unregistered dog at James Street Glanville. James Kidd and Alfred Philips also pleaded guilty. Fines ranged from 10 to 100 pounds with costs. in one case imprisonment was set as default.

Skull Fracture In Tent Scene At Royal Park
Eleven year old Lawrence Baker, living with his father J B Baker at Royal Park, suffered a skull fracture while a playmate tried to chop a branch with a tomahawk. The weapon slipped and struck Baker as he helped erect a tent. He was taken to Port Adelaide Casualty Hospital and later to Adelaide Hospital.
