Local children honored retiring crossing keeper Mr Kerr of Wills Street with a small collection of shillings and a keepsake. They surprised him in Largs Reserve as he left service, inviting him to a tea party the following Saturday to mark the occasion.
The Marshall and Boxley All Star Vaudeville and Revue Combination played Port Adelaide Town Hall on Saturday to strong applause. Acts included the Harmonous Hudsons Daisy Chard Dora Preston Doris Mills Tommy Atkins Ted Carlton Syd Hammond and more with a promise of a second show featuring the Gaul Sisters Three Belles Little Rita Eva Rowe and others to follow as the company maintains a long season.
