All-British League Holds Meeting At Foresters Hall

The All-British League monthly gathering at Foresters Hall Nile Street heard Mr Robert Simes chair and welcomed 1900 members. Harry Thompson urged strong enlistment and British dominance over German officials while discussing emigration and wartime duty.

Port Adelaide Officer Resigns to Join Mounted Police

Personal Constable M O Connor resigns after a decade of service at Port Adelaide. He plans to travel to the Nether Territories to join the mounted police with Senior Constable A McMahon, who has suffered health issues and died in Adelaide Hospital. Funeral held yesterday. he left a widow and two children. A social gathering at the Tort Adelaide Methodist school room featured framed portraits of past superintendents, including John Onoway and J Mitchell, with others displayed. The present superintendent is A L Reeling. A separate ceremony remembered about a dozen members of the Union Jack and Australian fugle Sunday school.

City of Port Adelaide announces an eight poll of ratepayers on Saturday in August 1915 to decide borrowing £12000 for permanent works. Polling at Town Hall from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the voters roll available at City Valuator's Office, Town Hall, St Vincent Street. By order of Town Clerk E. Bradwell.
