New Ore Treating Process Promises Big Savings
Florence Colorado inventor John Stevekin claims a new agitation and roasting free ore treating method can profitably process Cripple Creek ore. He says a ton of five dollar ore could be treated for two dollars, with potential savings of four and a half dollars per ton, by skipping roasting and using fine granite pulp. He plans a mill on Middle Beaver near the Short Line Railway to commercialize the system.
