Passages in Parliament on Military Feats of 1643
A dated 1643 pamphlet recounts parliament certified passages about the siege and battles. It notes 95 enemy horse and dragoons in the field, 500 slain or drowned, 30 enemy colours captured, Bulkingbrook Castle taken, and advances toward Lixcelue with related sieges and troop actions by the Earl of Manchester. It includes a letter from the New Lord Idsington to the Marquis of Newcastle and mentions Haslings’ troopers and Gainforongs besieging Plymouth.
