Ordinances Pass and War Efforts Expanded in Commons
The Commons approve an ordinance reimbursing 20,000 pounds to the forty Commissioners of the Calthorns for money advanced, and forward a similar tax out of the Excise for Sir Thomas Fairfax’s army. Debates in the Lords settle most colonels. Thanksgiving is ordered for Victories, and plans mount for West campaigns with Sir Wellesley and Colrammel marching toward the frontier.
