Barbarous Treatment of Capt. Henry Greene by Dutch Prize Crew
An eyewitness letter from HaI dand era recounts Capt. Henry Greene's capture off St Maloes by a Dutch prize crew aboard a ship bound for St Mallows. Storms almost wrecked them, but with Olver and Garney pilots they escaped rocks and reached Porcouth. Greene and his men were beaten and threatened aboard the Dutch vessel as Greene faced a commission to prize English ships and cast men overboard.
