Bold Hold-Up Near Vernon Stuns Elderly Farmer
A daring yet cowardly hold up occurred Tuesday night on the Vernon Kelowna wagon road near Vernon. James McQuarrie, a farmer on the Commonage over seventy, was robbed after a ride with a stranger who stunned him. Police seek Joe Churchill, an Irish man about five eight, 155 pounds, light complexioned with a scar under an eye, last seen in a black hat and blue overalls.

Athletic Association Plans July Excursion by Boat

The C P R will run a Kelowna to Peachland Summersland and Naramata boat with a round trip fare of one and a third. The Kelowna band will be paid 75 for music on the day.
