Deer and Rabbit Tales from Old Moama
A correspondent recalls a 19th century Moama tale about introducing rabbits to Australia. Boundary Fence Cost Case Decided at Narromine Board
Sugrua sued adjoining owner Kelly for half the cost of a rabbits proof fence. The fence existed before 20 November 1908 and a two chain road divided the holdings. Judge Kemp urged that section 28 of the Pastures Protection Act 1902 was repealed and could not extend the boundary beyond its legal meaning, so the claim was disallowed.
