Another Route Proposed for Bogan River Railway
Evidence was taken in support of a route by the Bogan River Railway League committee. The proposed deviation would run from Narromine west and then south of Peak Hill, serving 60 to 80 settlers and potentially doubling wheat output. Locals from Wallan Billan, Mungery, Bulgandramine, and Peak Hill urged western expansion, while Peak Hill supporters pressed for keeping and extending toward Narromine. The committee will hear further evidence at Parkes and Dubbo.
