The FRA asked CSIRO to investigate concentrated fertilisers amid higher phosphate content than superphosphate. The CSIRO notes triple superphosphate and ammonium phosphate vary commercially and that phosphoric acid is scarce in Australia. Even with concentrated fertilisers, sulphur-containing fertilisers would be needed, offering limited bulk handling advantages.
