Peak Hill Railway Proposal to Extend Line to Narromine

Mr McDonald Stuart’s 1898 report surveys Parkes to Peak Hill route with deviations toward Narromine and Tomingley. Line would run 67 miles west of Sydney, via Tomingley and Narromine, with light earthworks, easy grades, and local timber, ballast, and water sources identified. It notes agricultural potential, wheat expansion, mining activity, and the strategic value of a north south link, based on community data and local inquiry.

Our Accounts and the End of Inet Quarter Appeal

Our accounts to the end of Inet quarter dated 30th March are now in circulation. We aim to establish payment in all cases. The expenses of running a 20 page newspaper are heavy. we appeal for prompt settlements. Those with outstanding balances will have separate accounts placed with our solicitor for recovery. We conclude that those seeking years of credit for a paper account are not worth having on our books.
