Appeal for Orphan Children at Rarotonga
The directors report in England that over two hundred children on the island have become orphans due to last year’s high mortality. They lack clothing, not food, and are kept from church services, missing religious instruction. Mr Buzacott urges friends to donate old garments to clothe the destitute orphans before the South Seas ship departs.

Soldier surrenders over Prince's Street murder case
A soldier turned himself in on Sunday evening in Bond Street, aiding police in the Prince's Street robbery inquiry. He says he helped in the robbery but denies involvement in Mr Westwood's murder, offering information to help catch the perpetrators. Skepticism exists about his statements amid sensational penny-a-line commentary.
