Mexican Texas dispute darkens Senate as Santa Anna letters reach Washington

Essex Voters and a Severe Saturday Storm Across London

Essex voters register totals for December 1836 to October 1837 show Northern 5899 Southern 5547 with increases. The Gate of Saturday reports a powerful storm in the metropolis causing roof and grounds damage though no serious injuries. a brass showroom window shattered while a passerby escaped harm. Rains and Froops note Kent floods washing away wheat, threatening Lent corn as floods impoverish upland lands.
