Taxi drivers fined in Liquor Act cases at The Pas
The Pas taxi drivers Clem Kobisky Sylvia Chartrand Gertrude Guiboche and others were fined up to 250 for liquor violations under the Liquor Act. Sentences included fines of 200 to 250 and two month suspended jail terms with bonds of 500. Some operators faced ongoing license investigations and calls for stricter enforcement. Magistrate Macphee warned about illegal liquor sale and noted mixed reactions from Crown and defense.
