The Pas Glee Club staged a February 28 29 concert theme Sing a Song of Seasons with spring to winter costumes and songs. Singers included altos Jeannette Bernstrom Norma Cassidy Rhoda Perry Jo an Prokopow second sopranos Audrey Friskin Colleen Grieve Pat Herman Ellen Long Bonnie Valyear sopranos Bev Copeland Lynn Gniazdoski Lila Henderson Jeanette Jackson Joan Mostat Susan Pentelichuk Teresa Pidskalny Arlen Wilson and men Jim Dodd John Holland Neal Joyce and Roger Schwegel. Pianist Esther Nikkel and guitarist Gordon Jones accompanied the group.

41st Annual The Mas Music and Fine Arts Festival Opens

Registration officials Darlene Antonio and Jeannette Jackson staffed the table last week for the 41st annual festival. Margaret Toews entered her junior and senior choirs in the choral division as the event runs April 25 through May 1 with the Grand Concert for finalists on May 1.

National survey to map native ancestry in rural Manitoba

A national survey coordinated by Manpower and Immigration and co sponsored by the Native Council of Canada will study people of native descent in remote rural areas not covered by other census reports. In Manitoba the first stages focus near The Pas and Dauphin with 22 communities, assessing employment, family status, education and migration for future programs.
