Hockey fundraiser and minor league results in The Pas
The first Skate-A-Thon raised nearly 2800 for Minor Hockey in The Pas as volunteers and players filled pledge sheets at the rink from 10 to 6. The week closed with Midget Juvenile playoffs, Lion and Guy Hill scores, and exhibition games featuring The Pas Tom Thumbs, Thompson Tom Thumbs, and a Merchants versus CNR grudge match. Gary Hopper of Kinsmen named Minor Hockey Player of the Week for five goals.
