Volunteers are sought for crowd control while RCMP recruits patrol the motorcade route with Girl Guides Scouts Air Cadets and service clubs. CNR Cuts Freight Rates Across Northern Manitoba Routes
Canadian National Railways reduced freight rates last week on a wide range of goods from Winnipeg to The Pas Flin Flon Lynn Lake and Thompson. The cuts run 13 to 35 percent for shipments from 10000 to 100000 pounds. Also applying to CNs northern box car and container services the changes cover nonperishable foods automotive parts dry goods hardware and other CN freight classes say the cuts reflect rising northern shipments and new efficiencies in freight operations.
