The 73 year old Romulus Chartier former The Pas resident and Allouette Hotel owner died Sunday July 28 in Wainwright Alberta. He is survived by three children Mrs. Vernon Gale Mrs. Margaret Hockins and Mr. Charlie Chartier. Funeral services were held today in Wainwright.
Note the time change for Sunday School at 10:00 A.M. and Divine Worship at 11:00 A.M. Both services will be held at The Carrot River Valley Hall.

The Kel sey School Division teachers say cost of living increases and higher wages in other sectors justify a demand for an increase in the basic salary schedule for the first time since 1959. The board and teachers failed to settle after a conciliation officer met them, with negotiations delayed and no agreement on small increases or staff recruitment.

Mr. Turk Pearson of The Inco Nickel Department at Thompson won the $1000 Kin Prize offered by The Pas Kins men Club. He elected cash over a boat and motor of equal value. The award was made last Thursday at a Pas baseball game. Proceeds support the Senior Citizens housing project.
Mr and Mrs Walter Polony announce the engagement of their younger daughter Teresa Mary to Mr George Rodney Hutton of Neepawa Manitoba son of Mr and Mrs J W McCallum of Auphin Manitoba. Wedding planned for Saturday August 24 1963 at 4 PM in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
