Little Northern Museum Truly Unique in The Pas
Sam Waller runs the Little Northern Museum on Gordon Avenue The Pas since the late fifties showcasing a vast mix of regional and national artifacts. The building features an anchor from NWMP troop transport and a Hudson Bay trade post fur press, with a moving rubber snake deterring visitors. Waller, a former teacher who moved from England in 1911, opened the museum in 1958, rebuilt in 1970, and now operates it with town support. The museum receives annual provincial grants and community donations while attracting visitors from around the world and schools from The Pas.
