Local man Robert Sanderson marks 102nd birthday
Robert Sanderson of The Pas celebrated turning 102 at his daughter and son in law Z Head's home on January 27. A Selkirk native who moved to Grand Rapids in the early 1900s and Moose Lake later, he supported himself trapping and fishing. Now active, he enjoys wild meat and fish for meals, with monthly trips to Moose Lake for supplies. He has five children, 48 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Trappers Festival Rendezvous Adds Shows and Fiddle Star

Ye Olde Trappers Joust and Pool Events at Winton
Winton Pool hosts the Ye Olde Trappers Joust on Friday February 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. aquatic demonstrations run Saturday February 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. including synchronized swimming diving and lifesaving. A swimming meet between The Pas Road Runners and Flin Flon occurs Saturday 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. An inner tube water polo tournament is Sunday February 22 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Entry is open to teams. Lions Sponsor Novelty Events At Trappers Festival

Glee Club Faces Male Shortage in The Pas

The Pas Public Library board chair Mary Penner reports 23 meetings and collaboration with six groups to push a new library. A key unassigned area at the back remained unresolved after a May proposal. financial and expansion concerns kept it unfinished, hindering the Trappers' Festival base.
