Western Grocers strike continues in The Pas and Flin Flon
The wholesale strike in northern Manitoba's The Pas and Flin Flon enters its fourth week with workers walking out on November 24 over wages. The company has offered a 10 percent increase after previously proposing 22 percent, while unions push for broader negotiations. Winnipeg settlements and Ottawa wage board rulings complicate talks as Union leaders warn of potential work stoppages around New Year if progress stalls. The Kelsey School Division reached a separate 12 percent wage deal with CUPE for janitorial and clerical staff.
