Snowmachine ban violators warned in The Pas
The RCMP warn residents that snowmobiles and unregistered motorcycles are banned in Town Limits under a by law passed by Town Council and will be enforced with fines up to 100 dollars plus seizure costs and prosecution costs borne by violators. Police report thefts and break ins including a 600 dollar TV stolen from a trailer, two shoplifters given probation, a stolen 1969 Pontiac recovered, and break ins at Vickerys Lodge with investigations ongoing.

Winnipeg Surgeon Dr Gerald Hanks Speaks on Human Rights in The Pas
Dr Gerald Hanks, a Winnipeg surgeon and Human Rights speaker, lectured at the Elks Hall in The Pas on December 10, marking the 28th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
