Local Men Leave for the Front from The Pas
The Pas closes all business at 4 pm for a farewell to enlisted locals bound for the front. Mayor Finger and others spoke at the station while The Pas band played and students with flags sang. A list names the lads enlisting from The Pas and the crowd wished them God speed. London reports nineteen suffragettes were arrested while attempting to storm the Home Office.
