Fire Destroys Golden City Camp and Dock on Mosher Creek
A month-long forest fire at the north mainland end spread toward the Prince Albert mine. Mosher Camp and Bannock King's camp were dismantled but reerected later. St Clair Snell saved the Mosher assayer outfit and valuables, towing the dock to a safe island. Dr. Roberts treated a minor finger wound and declined a fee, provoking local ire over charging.
