Manitoba Crop Insurance Deadline Approaches for Farmers
Manitoba farmers must finalize new or changed crop insurance contracts with the Manitoba Crop Insurance Corporation by April 30 1975. The Pas agent is Dave Brown of Swan River. Coverage increased 25 percent with options for high or low value. Continuous policyholders can add hail spot coverage and unseeded acreage prior to the deadline. The Manitoba Crop Insurance Corporation covers drought, excess moisture, frost, flooding, pests, diseases, hail and wind. Last year over 13 800 contracts with over 80 million in coverage. payouts reached 8 million across more than 8 000 claims.
