Snoopy the talking dog, a speech therapy unit connected by electronics, was presented by F H Suter for the Telephone Pioneers Manitoba Chapter 50 to Mrs. Doris Jellison at Marigold School The Pas. The device lets children speak to the toy without adults present to reduce inhibition. The Pioneers have given similar units in Winnipeg Brandon and plan more.

Section Foreman Retires After 42 Years with CN Rail
J G Newlove presented a retirement plaque to Peter Saskowski after 42 years with Canadian National Railways. Saskowski joined May 2 1932 and worked as sectionman foreman and Extra Gang Foreman across Northern Manitoba including Sipiwesk to Thompson. He also served twenty years as Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way local chairman before ending at The Pas Yard on April 5 1974 and retiring in The Pas Manitoba.

Committee Of Five Will Negotiate With Indian Band
The Town Council will appoint a five member panel to negotiate with the Indian Band. The panel includes Mayor Jack Kennedy, Tony Moule, and three finance committee members Gus Gelowitz Shirley Jonas and Ed Sawula. Town Pays Legal Fees In Porky Packers Appeal
