Military Exemption Tribunals Appointed in Dominion
The Dominion forms about 1100 to 1200 exemption tribunals with half chosen by county and district judges, the rest by the government. Appointments span many backgrounds, with party ties not guiding selections. Judge Wylie named Thos Wigmore as Oxbow representative, and B. Chappell may join the Government side. Tribunals will hear exemption claims for service, with unmarried men and widowers aged 20 to 45 first called. The October 1 draft proclamation will set rules, and medical boards will classify men into four groups for overseas or domestic service and further exams.
