Fire at Alfred McGee’s Alexandra farm in Manitoba destroyed a barn where seven threshing crew members slept. The blaze claimed 12 horses and sparked an inquest urging laws to stop sleeping in barns and to provide safer housing during threshing season. No fault assigned. cause undetermined.
