St Pauls Presbyterian Church in Oxbow marked its anniversary with two sermons by Rev. H. O. Nixon of Estevan. He urged courage to change wrong beliefs and urged active church life guided by kindness and helpfulness, drawing on scriptures from Philippians and Exodus.
The church choir assisted in sessions rendering beautiful anthems and duets, producing harmonious anniversary services that were heartily appreciated by attendees.
Local Conservatives assembled in the council chamber to plan for the provincial leader Willoughby's arrival in Oxbow on Tuesday November 7 to address a convention and nominate a candidate for the provincial elections.
An enthusiastic meeting at the Dalesboro Schoolhouse on October 18 discussed Hetter Schools. Meri C. Watson chaired. Rev H A Davie and P P Piercy spoke. Officers elected include BH C Watson president, F Davison secretary treasurer, Ida E McKeever executive committee Melvin Dobson and William Watson.

The Boscarins Red Cross Society basket social on Friday October 20 proved a success both socially and financially, raising 113.75 dollars as baskets sold briskly from 3.50 to 12.50.
